Mamod was founded in 1935 in Birmingham in the British midlands by Geoffrey Malins. The first models produced were of stationary steam engines, the company later also creating models of road rollers, traction engines and steam cars. These models are simple to operate and run at low boiler pressures for safety.

Mamod (NZ) Limited was formed on 22 February 2007. We import solely Mamod brand quality steam models direct to you and your local model and hobby store.

Our aim is to bring quality steam models to New Zealanders at reasonable prices. We are achieving this by keeping our overheads low, without sacrificing customer service.
